Hello and thank you for visiting my website! It is mainly meant to be a place where I can collect and keep track of most of my work, as I don’t use social media.
I create all of my work by hand and use a wide range of materials, including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, charcoal, ink, and old calendars (for my collages). Although my inspiration comes from a variety of sources (including ‘90s-and-earlier children’s books, European folk art, and nature) I’m very careful about the visual references I use, and all the art in my portfolio is original work that’s truly my own. When I use photos for reference, I either use photos that I took myself, or photos that I’ve gotten permission to use.
I love to always experiment with new subjects and ideas, but tend to always go back to intricate details and vibrant colors. I get a lot of joy from both creating art and sharing it with others. For me it’s a fun escape to make up inviting and intriguing new little worlds, and I hope that viewing them is also fun and gives some happiness to others too.
